Im ersten Kapitel erfährt man alles über die Handhabung der Manga-Hintergründe durch verschiedene Mittel, Techniken und Verfahren. Das Buch beleuchtet die Benutzung von Mustern und Sondereffekten, das Ziehen von Effektlinien, die Gestaltung von Hintergründen ohne Effektlinien, das perspektivische Zeichnen von konkreten Hintergründen (wie man die 3-Dimensionalität erzielen kann) und auch das Abpausen der Hintergründe von Photos. Das zweite Kapitel verleiht einem das gesamte Wissen von der Arbeit mit Rasterfolien, wohl dem wichtigsten, was einen mangaka interessiert. Man lernt z.B. die Darstellung von Bäumen, Wäldern, Wüste, Wasser, Feuer, Flamme, Explosionen und Blitzen.
